PolyBud Polyrhythmic Sequencer 1.9

PolyBud is a sophisticated multitrack polyrhythmic AUv3 MIDI sequencer. It allows users to incorporate multiple note or MIDI CC tracks into each pattern. Note tracks feature various parameters including note, velocity, gate, ratchet, probability, and randomization modes. The ability to assign different step lengths to each mode facilitates the creation of diverse polyrhythmic variations instantly.

An outstanding attribute of PolyBud is the capability for each track to operate at a different rate, enabling the development of distinctive polyrhythmic sequences. Furthermore, users can allocate different MIDI channels to individual tracks, offering the flexibility to manage multiple synths within a single PolyBud pattern.

The MIDI CC tracks serve as a valuable tool for modulating synth parameters. By adjusting step lengths and rates for MIDI CC tracks, users can introduce polyrhythmic modulations. Additionally, setting a ramp value allows for smoothing out CC value changes per step. A ramp value of 0% recreates the classic sample and hold modulation effect.

It is essential to note that PolyBud functions as a MIDI app and does not generate its own sounds. Integration with audio apps is necessary by routing PolyBud's MIDI output accordingly. Users accessing the AUv3 plugin will require an AUv3 host app such as AUM, Cubase, NanoStudio, ZenBeats, BeatMaker, or apeMatrix.
